We are pleased to host Raptor View Research Institute on February 13th, from 6-8 pm.

Raptor View Research Institute will have two researchers sharing findings from their research projects in western Montana.
Adam Shearding will present on wintering Golden and Bald Eagles in the Bitterroot Valley, focusing on fascinating GPS tracking data and our unfortunate discovery that the majority of wintering eagles in the area are suffering from lead poisoning.
Brian Busby will talk about the region’s expanding population of Turkey Vultures, including updates on their long-distance migrations, secretive breeding behavior, and unusual sources of mortality.

Raptor View Research Institute is a non-profit research and education organization established in 2004 and based in Missoula, Montana. The mission of Raptor View is to provide knowledge of raptors (birds of prey) and the ecosystems that support them to the public and scientific community, through research, conservation, and education. Raptor View consists of executive director Rob Domenech, research biologists Adam Shreading and Brian Busby, and numerous seasonal field biologists.
