With the cooler temperatures and the impending changing of the leaves the Missoula County Department of Ecology and Extension welcomes you to attend the October 11th, Blooms & Brews talk on everything pumpkin. Ready your sweater and carve out some time to have a beer and listen to our very own county commissioner Josh Slotnick, Co-founder of Garden City Harvest, and the PEAS program at the University of Montana, speak about the biology and culture of pumpkins while delving into the history of Halloween. Josh will explain the centrality of the pumpkin in relevance to Halloween as well as why pumpkin carving and fall harvest events are wildly popular.
The first 40 people in attendance will get a free pumpkin!
October 11th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Building 35 at the Missoula Fairgrounds - $10 admission receives 2 drink tickets and a free pumpkin.
