Missoula County Weed District & Extension

  • Missoula County Weed District works to promote and maintain healthy vegetation by minimizing the ecological and economic impacts of noxious
weeds through public education, technology transfer, monitoring and facilitating involvement of landowners and land management agencies to control invasive species in Missoula County. Click here to learn more about our programs.

  • The Horticulture Program and the Plant Clinic can help with plant care and pest management issues. Bring us in samples of bugs, plants, disease problems and we will identify and give information on how to control them. We answer questions on landscaping, gardening, soils, & related areas.

  • EFNEP is the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program.  EFNEP teaches limited income families with children basic nutrition and cooking skills.  Download a monthly newsletter which includes recipes, cooking tips and ways to save money.   Click here to learn more about  the adult and youth EFNEP programs.
  • Mosquito Control District is an area with set boundaries approved by the County Commissioners where the landowners have agreed to develop and administer a program for the abatement and alleviation of mosquitoes within their district.
